Jacob Shackelford D.C.

Dr. Jacob Shackelford is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve better health through chiropractic care.

Originally from Willard, Missouri, Dr. Jacob grew up with a strong commitment to serving others and making a positive impact in his community.

Before pursuing a career in Chiropractic, Dr. Jacob served as a Firefighter EMT, where he gained firsthand experience caring for people during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. While he found great fulfillment in emergency services, his path took a new direction after meeting Dr. Travis Sellers and witnessing the profound difference chiropractic care could make in people's health and quality of life. Inspired by Dr. Travis's dedication to his patients and the life-changing results he saw every day, Dr. Jacob felt called to continue helping others through chiropractic.

He went on to attend the renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and developed the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional patient care.

In 2020, Dr. Jacob met his wife, Taylor, and together they enjoy building a life centered around faith, family, and serving their community. Outside the office, Dr. Jacob loves spending time on the golf course, relaxing at the lake, and making memories with family and friends.

Today, Dr. Jacob is honored to continue the legacy of compassionate chiropractic care, helping patients find relief, restore function, and live healthier, more active lives.

Dr. Travis Sellers served the Forsyth area from 1999 until his passing in August 2021. Travis grew up on his family’s farm in southern Iowa, which instilled a love for small towns. Travis earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1999. He and his wife, Christina “Tina” Sellers, opened their first practice in Forsyth, MO (Forsyth Chiropractic, 1999) where he served for over 20 years.

Travis had a gift of making everyone feel like family and had a heart to help heal people around him as well as put a smile on their face. Travis truly made everyone feel special and valued no matter who they were or what they did. His patients became his extended family and his care for them went beyond just their chiropractic needs.

More than anything, Travis was a dedicated husband and loving father. Anyone who knew Travis knew his family meant the world to him. He never missed a game, a camping trip, or a chance to read to his grandchildren. The loss of Travis has left a deep hole in the hearts of many, but the impact of his love will continue in those he loved so well.

His wife, Tina Sellers, alongside of their daughter, Taylor Sellers-Shackelford, and her husband Dr. Jacob Shackelford continue to work in the clinic to serve the community and continue the legacy left behind.
